Isopoint
….or in their languages and dialects Days or Season of Isopoint is a series of observances/holidays and exhibitions that celebrate principles that our Extraterrestrial Cousins appreciate about our Planet and Species.
An isopoint for them similar to what it means for our species which is the point in a population’s history where everyone that was alive then is an ancestor to everyone alive in the present time – as a result each member of their species is no more than 30th cousin from another.
For humans for example our Genetic Isopoint was thought by geneaologists to be only 5,000-7,000 years ago and scientist estimate that no two Human strangers on Earth are more than 50th cousin.
THEMES
This series of holidays is for them a kind of an intergalactic show-and-tell or World’s Fair with the overall aim of continually acknowledging their being A Superorganism and individually for the good of one another – a truly prosocial species.
They’ve watched and studied almost everything we’ve done going back to ancient times and are concerned for the direction of what were centuries of epistemic advances and a sharing of understanding of nature amongst ourselves that are now being lost.
To this end their first iteration of sharing their series of holidays with us will largely concern physics, engineering, ethics/philosophy, and biophysics amongst other themes, aspects and principles of Nature.
GUILDS
Similar to our Mardi Gras associations or krewes they organize themselves into Guilds and work on decorations, novel artifacts and art objects for their exhibitions, parades and performances all year round, and exchange and exhibit their new things continually: teaching and learning through making things together all year round.
Based on their exoplanet’s orbit around their host star the have five 73-day seasons, totaling 365 days.
